RVs from the Fletcher family photo album

Looks like at least some of Steve's urge to roam is genetic.

This travel trailer was homemade by his Great Uncle Roy Fletcher back in 1930. Trailers like this one were built by Uncle Roy for Tom Mix when he began his traveling circus.

So, what do you think? Pretty good for a 1930 RV don't you think?

This photo of a fifth wheel trailer was scanned from an article written by O.C. Robinson for Frontier Times Magazine. Mr. Robinson was a band member who traveled with the Tom Mix Circus. We believe that Uncle Roy's contract describes this trailer. Also, the trailers in the background look similar to the one in the photo above.

Here's a 1942 18ft Mainliner travel trailer towed by a 1937 Oldsmobile 8 cylinder. This photo was taken in 1947. We don't know which family member owned this rig. If you have any information about Mainliner trailers please let us know.
